We hope you join us for the Indy Rainbow Chamber of Commerce Speakers Series powered by SalesForce. Throughout the year, we will be curating a series of speakers to enlighten, inform and educate.

For March, we are delighted to have Jasmine Black, MPH from BU Wellness. Jasmine Black is the Executive Director of BU Wellness Network and holds a Master’s in Public Health with a concentration in social and behavioral sciences from Indiana University. She has worked in HIV care and services for over 7 years beginning her career at a local CBO before transitioning into the government sector. Her passion lies in pinpointing community health needs and collaborating with community partners to help address those needs. Jasmine is devoted to work that creates equitable spaces, programs, and communities through the dismantling of systematic racism so that all may have optimal health outcomes. She is ecstatic to lead an agency that seeks to create innovative programming to work to end the epidemic. 

BU Wellness Network’s mission is to enhance the health and wellness of black communities in Indiana. They largely do this work through HIV prevention services, supportive services for people living with HIV, and programs to address nutritional needs. These programs seek to provide a holistic approach to addressing the HIV epidemic. They will serve over 2,000 people annually through their variety of services offered at BU Wellness Network. All of their services are offered free of charge.

With your assistance, BU Wellness Network continues to deliver supportive, preventive, and mental health services, which helps to combat stigma, discrimination, and oppression among those who are affected by and living with HIV. As a 501 (c) (3) charitable organization, they rely on public and private support from individuals, corporations, foundations, and government agencies to continue to meet the needs of our community.
